A Fair is a season. Marks are points for playing in it. They reset each Fair.
Fairs
A Fair runs about a month. Booths only take shots while a Fair is open. Every Fair is named “the ___ Fair”. Sheriff’s Seat days start at 00:00 UTC.
Fair 0, the Nottingham Fair, is coming up. Voting follows. Dates are posted at least 24 hours ahead.
Later Fairs take names from the Robin Hood stories. They are Locksley, Little John, Friar Tuck, Maid Marian, Will Scarlet, Alan-a-Dale, Guy of Gisborne, Greenwood, Major Oak, Golden Arrow and King Richard. TODO Order and dates.
How Marks are earned
| Source | Marks |
|---|---|
| Spend in any booth | 10 per $1 |
| Sheriff’s Seat time | 1 per minute held |
| Seat daily top 3 | +500 / +200 / +100 |
| Last Arrow last shot | +500 per round |
| Last Arrow, the 10 shots before the last | +100 per shot |
| Last Arrow most shots | +250 per round |
| Daily streak | +10% per UTC day in a row with a shot, up to +50% |
| Fair Pass held the whole Fair | ×1.2 |
| Fair 0 (the Nottingham Fair) | ×1.5 |
| Robin Among Thieves | TODO Numbers not set yet. |
There is no cap per wallet. Marks go to the credited player and count from your first shot after you lock a pass.
Worked example
In Fair 0 you spend $100 on each of 3 days in a row and hold the Seat for 60 minutes on day 3. You held your pass the whole Fair.
| Day | Raw | Streak | Marks |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1,000 | ×1.0 | 1,000 |
| 2 | 1,000 | ×1.1 | 1,100 |
| 3 | 1,060 | ×1.2 | 1,272 |
| Sum | 3,372 | ||
| × 1.2 pass × 1.5 Fair 0 | 6,069.6 |
Each day’s raw Marks are multiplied by that day’s streak and the days are summed. The total is then ×1.2 for the pass and then ×1.5 for Fair 0.
How Marks are counted
Marks are computed offchain from public events. These are Shot, ShotFired, RoundSettled, SeatTaken, DaySettled, Locked and Unlocked. The output is a file per Fair, marks/fair-<id>.json, with a sha256 hash. Anyone can re-run the indexer and get the same file. TODO Link the public indexer.
